Privacy Statement
This page explains what personal information I collect when you contact or book me, why I need it, who else sees it, and what you can ask me to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be endured.
Who I am
The Bridal Glam is the business of Anja Zander, bridal makeup artist and hairstylist in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I am the controller of the personal data described here, and you reach me directly:
- Address: Zaanstraat 336, 1013 SE Amsterdam, the Netherlands
- Email: info@thebridalglam.nl
- Telephone: +31 6 23 73 93 58
- Chamber of Commerce (KVK): 42155579
- VAT identification number (btw-id): NL005540766B06
There is no data protection officer — for anything on this page, you are writing to me.
What I collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message — usually your wedding date, the location, and what you are looking for.
- When we correspond: the contents of our emails or messages, and your telephone number if you give it.
- When you book: the address where I come to you, the timings for the day, and any allergies or skin sensitivities you tell me about, so that I can work safely.
- For invoicing: your name, billing address, and the amounts and dates of payment.
- Photographs and video of your hair and makeup — only where you have given separate written consent.
I do not buy personal data, and I collect nothing about you from other sources.
Why I need it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote — steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To carry out the booking — performance of our agreement.
- To invoice and keep records — a legal obligation under Dutch tax law.
- To show my work on my website and social media — only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Who else sees it
I keep the circle as small as I can. These are the parties involved:
- Formcarry — delivers the contact form to my inbox. Your message is processed and stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and stays inside the European Union, under a data processing agreement.
- Google (Gmail) — my email is hosted there, so our correspondence is stored in that account.
- GitHub Pages — hosts this website. Their servers record standard access data such as IP addresses.
- My accountant — sees invoices, as tax law requires.
I do not sell your data, and I do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and fonts
This website sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics. The typefaces are served from this website's own server, so opening the page sends nothing to Google or any other third party.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: twelve months, then deleted.
- Bookings, invoices and payment records: seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
- Photographs: until you withdraw your consent.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to:
- show you what I hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete what I no longer need to keep;
- stop using your data for a particular purpose;
- withdraw a consent you gave earlier — for photographs, for example.
Write to info@thebridalglam.nl and I will answer within a month. If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you may complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Keeping it safe
Your data sits in password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication, on devices only I use. If something goes wrong in a way that puts you at risk, I will tell you.
Changes to this statement
If the way I work changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.
